Space Rovers (Constellation) - "Jezzy's Appearance" The scene opens up at small oddly shaped spaceship. It is Lionheart's vessel, a ship with advanced cloaking technology and warp capabilities. Inside he and Jezzy are resting in bed together. They are still under the power of the love potion. Mystic quietly appears in the room. MYSTIC (evil grin): Aren't they a charming couple! Now's the time to take the charm off! (points at Jezzy and Lionheart): Return as before, love no more! Jezzy and Lionheart glows slightly. MYSTIC (fades into the background): Time to sit back and watch the fun! Lionheart awakens first. LIONHEART (yawns): That was a long nap. (sees Jezzy): Hey! (pokes her): Wake up! How did YOU get in here? JEZZY (yawns, gasps) What the? How did I get here?! LIONHEART (upset): I asked you first, girlie! (smirks): I couldn't have invited you here, you're such an ugly runt! JEZZY (growls and tries to slap Lionheart) Ugly runt? I'll show you ugly runt! Lionheart grabs her wrist. LIONHEART (upset): So, that's the way it is! Well, I don't need you here! Keep this up and I'll push you out the nearest airlock! JEZZY (scared): You wouldn't really do that to me, would you? LIONHEART (growls): I sure would! But lucky for you there's a Space Rover ship nearby, how they came all the way out here I'll never know. I'll dump your sorry hide off with them! Jezzy now disappears and she appears in a cargo hold of the Constellation. JEZZY (looks around) Where am I? Nearby she can hear two people talking. ANGIE (opening a crate) Thanks for helping me get the supplies for sickbay, Mauler. MAULER (smiles): Anytime.... (points): Hey, what's that in the shadows? It's... MOVING! ANGIE (taps combadge) Angie to security . . . ROCKO (on comm): Rocko here, what's the problem down there? MAULER (taps comm badge) We might have a stowaway in the cargo hold. ROCKO (on comm): Stand by, we're on our way! Jezzy ducks down low and hides not knowing any of these Space Rovers. JEZZY (to herself) This is not the Galatea . . . Rocko, Gizmo and Teba rush in TEBA (stern) Where did you see the stowaway? MAULER (points nervously): Over there... ROCKO (growls): No one's invading this ship on MY watch! Get ready to pounce on the count of three! 1....2..... All of them rush to where Mauler was pointing and they find Jezzy. ROCKO (growls): Ok, alien creature! Who are you and how did you get onboard this ship? JEZZY (nervous) I am not an alien. TEBA (stunned): She can speak English GIZMO (nods): Aye lassie, and she looks like one of us! ANGIE (calm) Who are you? JEZZY (nervous) Cadet First Class Jezzy. ROCKO (smirks): Oh sure you are, ALIEN! (points): Lock her in the brig and inform the Captain! I won't be fooled by this imposter! JEZZY (stern) I am not an alien! GIZMO (calm): I think the lassie's tellin' the truth, Rocko. ROCKO (stern): She could be a shapeshifter, or a alien altered to look like one of us! JEZZY (calm) If you contact Captain Rikes, that will prove I am not an alien. MAULER (stunned): Rikes? He's the Captain of the Galatea! How did you know that? ROCKO (takes her by the arm): Let's go, prisoner! JEZZY (pulls away from Rocko) I am from the Galatea ROCKO (grabs her again): Tell it to the judge, stowaway! FETCH (walks in): I heard there was trouble here, what's.... (Stunned): Cadet Jezebel? How did you get here? ROCKO (surprised): You know her, sir? FETCH (nods): I know of her, from the old Academy records I used to study. She is a member of Galatea's crew. Jezzy tells Fetch what she remembers before arriving. JEZZY (calm) The last thing I remember was a dance on the Galatea. Then I waked up on Lionheart's ship. FETCH (nods): Oh yes, Lionheart. I've read his file too. He's a galatic troublemaker who does what he wants when he wants to. JEZZY (scratches head) For some reason, he didn't know how I got on his ship. GIZMO (sad): That be a sad, sad sorry, Jezzy. TEBA (nods): So Lionheart brought you HERE? JEZZY (sad) I don't even know where here is. ANGIE (nods) You're on the SRS Constellation. JEZZY (stunned) I'm on the Constellation . . .? GIZMO (nods): Aye, lass! JEZZY (shakes head): But that's impossible! The Constellation was reported missing a month ago! ROCKO (stunned) A month ago? We have been out here for over a year. JEZZY (stunned): WHAT??? A YEAR??? How long have I been with Lionheart? I must've lost track of time! FETCH (shakes head) We have no idea how long. JEZZY (upset): You mean to tell me I'm stuck out here in the middle of nowhere with you guys? FETCH (nods): Thats about the size of it. JEZZY (shakes head): No, this can't be true! TEBA (nods) It's true alright. FETCH (calmly): However you arrived here, Cadet Jezzy, you are now a part of our crew. We'll need all the help we can get if we're going to get back home. MEI-LING (on comm.) Commander Fetch, sensors dectect K'Tob Ships. JEZZY (confused) K'Tob? FETCH (upset): Perfect, just what we don't need now! (shouts): Red Alert, battle stations! (points): Gizmo, take Jezzy to engineering, she can lend you a hand with the phaser banks GIZMO (nods) Aye, sir. JEZZY (confused) What is the K'Tob? FETCH (sternly): There isn't time to explain, follow Gizmo, we need everyone we can get, now MOVE IT! Jezzy follows Gizmo to the engineering as Fetch and Rocko head to the bridge. Heather was at the science station, Lola (Austrailian Cattle Dog) was at tactical, Mei-Ling was at the communications, and Dunkard was at the helm. FETCH (shouts): Status! DUNKARD (pushing buttons): So far, we're dodging their lasers, but I can't keep this up forever, sir! LOLA (pressing buttons) Sheilds are holding, mate. FETCH (shouts): Take a 90 degree course around that asteroid. Stand by weapons! If this works, we'll sneak up from behind and blast their engines! Dunkard presses buttons and does as Fetch tells him. FETCH (shouts): Engineering, load all torpedo bays and prepare to launch on my command! LOLA (looks on screen) The K'Tob are charging weapons. DUNKARD (presses buttons): We're cicrling around, we have them now! FETCH (shouts): FIRE ALL TORPEDOS!! ROCKO (presses buttons) Firing now! HEATHER (looks at monitor): Direct hit on there engines! Shields are down and they've lost their warp drive! FETCH (nods): Good job everyone, time to get outta here, best speed Mr. Staud! DUNKARD (nods): Aye aye sir! In the engineering, Gizmo and Jezzy were working on the paser banks. Trip was giving commands. TRIP (shouts) We are going to warp. JEZZY (looks around): This configuration is different than what I learned at the Academy GIZMO (nods): Aye, it is! We've had to make some adjustments since we've been stranded out here. You'll learn the ropes fast, lassie.... HUSLU (nods) This is also a new class of Space Rover Ship. TRIP (points): Jezzy, find a station and adjust the plasma relay flow. The ratio has to be stay between one and one point two megahertz in order for this ship to fly at warp. HURRY! Jezzy runs to find the nearest station. JEZZY (frantically pushing buttons): Got it! TRIP (shouts): Good! Watch that plasma flow regulator, we're going to warp now! Back on the bridge, the watch as the ship goes to warp. DUNKARD (shouts): We are at Warp 5. FETCH (sternly): We need more speed. When that K-Tob ship calls for help, we'll probably have their entire fleet coming after us DUNKARD(nods): Going Warp 7. HEATHER (looks at monitor): No pursuit so far FETCH (sternly); We can't take on their entire fleet, let's hope we can escape. In the engine room . . . TRIP (breathes sigh of relief): We did it, we escaped the K'Tob . . ANTON (nods): For nowski . . . JEZZY (scared): Does this happen often? GIZMO (panting): Aye lassie, there be some baddies out there in this part of space, we have few allies here WER-VIL (nods): This part of space is very dangerous. JEZZY (stunned): Hey! You're a Willian! I didn't know we had any of you people in our Academy WER-VIL (nods): I am Wer-Vil, I have been in this part of space for awhile now. The Space Rover saved me from slavery by the K'Tob. JEZZY (swallows hard): Slavery? WER-VIL (sighs): The K'Tob either enslave you, prison you, or kill you, it depends on the fleet you encounter. JEZZY (frightened): Oh my..... we have to find a way back home fast! I don't want to be a slave! GIZMO (nods): Aye lass, we all want to get back to the bonnie hills of home BLINKA (walks in): I brought you all some coffee and sandwiches... JEZZY (terrified): YIKES!! AN ALIEN!!! Jezzy hides under a table, shaking like a leaf. GIZMO (calm) It's okay, Jezzy. She is a friend. BLINKA (confused): What's with her? She acts like she's never seen one of my kind before JEZZY (looks up): You.... can talk..... BLINKA (stares at her): You're new here, aren't you? JEZZY (nods): You could say that, who and what are you? BLINKA (smiles): I am Blinka of the Grodinates TRIP (upset): Cadet Jezzy, get up and stop this foolishness! We have work to do down here! GIZMO (turns to Trip) She is confused and frightened, laddie. TRIP (nods): I see. Jezzy, let Blinka take you on a tour of the ship. We can handle things here while you settle in, ok? Buster (Dalamation/Spaniel) comes up to the group. BUSTER (smiles) How about I take her on a tour of the ship? BLINKA (nods): Fine with me, I have to return to the galley to take food up to the bridge. Jezzy, this is Buster, your new tour guide BUSTER (turns to Jezzy) Follow me. JEZZY (nods): Ok Buster leads her out and start to take her on a tour of the ship. BUSTER (points): Now these are the crew quarters. We're pretty cramped here, so you'll probably have to bunk with at least two other women JEZZY (confused): Why not open up the other crew decks? BUSTER (sighs): We have to conserve power. JEZZY (confused): But I thought each ship had enough barium to power an entire state! BUSTER (sighs) : We were only testing the ship when we got sucked into the wormhole. We only had enough for the test flight. Until we find more barium, we have to conserve power. JEZZY (concerned): So that means the other systems are affected as well..... BUSTER (nods) Yes . . . I miss playing in the holodeck. JEZZY (concerned): Isn't there any Barium to be found in this part of space? BUSTER (nods): Wer-Vil detected trace amounts but is was on K'Tob controlled worlds. JEZZY (sad): Well, we can't just keep flying around with a low Barium supply. If we use it all up, we'll be adrift in space forever BUSTER (concerned): I'm worried about that too. JEZZY (nods): Ok, I'm hungry, take me to the galley, please BUSTER (nods): Follow me. Buster leads Jezzy to the galley. ESMERELDA (on the serving line): Welcome to the Constellation, Jezzy. It's not often we get new crew members. What would you like to eat? BUSTER (Points): Good ol' dog food for me, thanks! (smiles): Reminds me of home each time I eat it JEZZY (smiles) I'll just have a salad. Thanks. ESMERELDA (nods): As you wish, Jezzy. Buster, I'm afraid this is the last of the dog food. We have used up nearly all of the supplies that were onboard. It's a good thing we have been able to trade with the beings we have encountered in our jounrey home for more food BUSTER (nods) And Gizmo's work in the hydroponics bay too. JEZZY (looks back at him): Gizmo? That runty little Papillon dog? GIZMO (defensive): Who you be callin' a runt, lass? Gizmo separates into five different versions of himself ALL THE GIZMOS (together): What have you to say now? Jezzy passes out GIZMOS (looking at each other): Was it something I said? Heather enters the galley. She is holding a piece of paper with a poem on it from a secret admirer. HEATHER (smiling as she reads it): Oh my! I can't believe it! An old fashioned love letter! DUNKARD (from behind): Hello Leuitenant! HEATHER (looks embarrassed as she hides the note): Dunkard! You scared me! DUNKARD (smiles) What do you have there? HEATHER (upset): It's nothing for you to be concerned with, aren't you on duty somewhere? DUNKARD (shakes head): No ma'am, I'm on meal break and.... (points): Who's that? Looks like she's fainted! HEATHER (confused) I haven't seen her before. BUSTER (giving Jezzy smelling salts): Wake up, Jezzy, c'mon, wake up! JEZZY (opens her eyes): What.... what... where am I? I had the weirdest dream.... about being stuck in space on the Constellation. (smiles): Glad that's over with. BUSTER (chuckles) You're not dreamin'. JEZZY (points): But what about that Papillon who.... who.... GIZMOS (standing all around her): Who did what, lassy? JEZZY (scared): OH NO! Serge is watching Heather from his seat. He stares at her and smiles with a goofy grin. Serge was the one the secretly sent Heather the poem. SERGE (sighs): I hope she got my letter He sees that Heather is holding a piece of paper. SERGE (to himself): She has it! She reminds me of women in Siberia! JEZZY (stands up and point): You.... how .... how... do you... GIZMOS (together): Like this! All of the Gizmos come back together BUSTER (smiles) That is just his power Jezzy. JEZZY (stunned): Amazing! Heather walks over the group. HEATHER (sternly): Cadet Jezzy! I know you are new to our ship, but we don't allow time for napping, not even in the galley! GIZMO (calm) She was just stunned at my powers, ma'am. HEATHER (sternly): No excuses! Jezzy, eat dinner and then report to me on the bridge for your first duty assignment! Serge still stares at Heather and sighs. SERGE (to himself): I love a forceful woman! BUSTER (stern) Heather, Jezzy just got here. She can't remember what happened to her for the past year. I think she needs sometime to adjust. HEATHER (nods): Very well. Jezzy, after your meal, report to the infirmery for a complete medical checkup BUSTER (turns to Jezzy) I'll show you where the medical bay is after our meal. JEZZY (nods): Ok Heather gets some food and goes to find a place to sit down. SERGE (big grin): You can sit with me, Comrade Heather! HEATHER (snobby): I'm sitting with the officers, don't bother me while I eat! Heather goes to sit with Fetch and Dunkard. DUNKARD (stunned): Heather, why didn't you go sit with Serge? FETCH (nods): We have a long jounrey ahead of us. HEATHER (sternly): Why should I eat with underlings? DUNKARD (shakes head): You gotta give up that snooty attitude HEATHER (furious): SNOOTY? HOW DARE YOU!! FETCH (stern) We have been here for a little over a year. We have to work and live as a team despite our ranks. Pan (cocker spaniel) comes in with her infant pup Brett (king shepherd/cocker spaniel). Brett is whining and crying as Pan trying hush him. PAN (pats Brett) Shh Shh, little Brett. Pan goes to sit with Serge. SERGE (smiles): Hello Comrade Pan! How is the little babooska today? PAN (smiles) He is a bit fussy. His teeth are starting to come in. SERGE (smiles): He looks like you, Pan PAN (giggles) Thanks. (sees Serge stare at Heather) Still trying to get Heather's attention? SERGE (sighs): Is it so obviouski? PAN (nods) I noticed for a while. SERGE (sad): Why can't she notice? She's so strong and forceful! (starry eyed): Reminds me of females back in Mother Russia! PAN (sighs) Heather is just self-centered. SERGE (nods): I knowski, but I am madly in love with her! PAN (smiles) Get her some roses. I think Gizmo is growing some in the hydroponics bay. SERGE (happy): Good ideaski! (stands up): Thank you, Pan! Serge leaves the galley. The scene shifts to a few hours later. Heather finds a dozen Roses in front of her quarters. A card says: To Heather From A Secret Admirer. HEATHER (looks at them): This is probably Rocko and Mauler's idea of a joke! (angry): I'll get them for this! Serge watches from a distance then sighs. SERGE (to himself): Bolshoi! She thinks it's all a trick! How can I convince her of my love for her? Meanwhile, Buster was showing Jezzy to the medical bay to get a check up. BUSTER (concerned) It is weird for you to lose a year's worth of memories. Maybe Promise can help you. JEZZY (nods): Is she a trained doctor? BUSTER (sighs) She is the best we got. She also has magical powers. JEZZY (stunned): So she's a witch doctor! (starts to leave): No thanks, I want a real doctor to look at me, not Granny Clampett BUSTER (laughs) She is not a witch doctor. JEZZY (smrks): She sounds like one to me! Buster leads Jezzy into the the medical bay. Promise was finishing bandaging Rocko's arm. PROMISE (stern) You got to stop flirting with Millie. ROCKO (smiles): She wants me, I just know it! PROMISE (stern) Then why does she keep using her heat powers on you. ROCKO (shrugs): Love hurts? BUSTER (smiles) Hello Promise (turns to Jezzy) This is our new crew member, Jezzy. PROMISE (shakes her hand): Fetch told me you'd be coming in, time for a complete examination BUSTER (turns to Promise) Jezzy lost a year's worth of memories. PROMISE (surprised): Oh? Perhaps I can help you JEZZY (scared): I don't want any of that voodoo mumbo jumbo done to me! PROMISE (calm) I won't hurt you. JEZZY (scared): Are you sure? PROMISE (nods) I'm sure. Promise closes her eyes. Both Promise and Jezzy begin to glow. JEZZY (stunned): What the..... Then Promise growls and the glow disappears. PROMISE (growls) Mystic McLab had a hand in your memory loss. JEZZY (confused): Mystic? What does she have to do with all of this? PROMISE (stern) I sensed some of her magic at work. JEZZY (scared): I wonder what she did to me! ROCKO (growls) That witch was probably having fun and probably watching us now. JEZZY (frightened): That makes me MORE scared! ROCKO (growls, shouts) SHOW YOURSELF MYSTIC!!!! MYSTIC (appears in front of them in a SR uniform): Did someone scream my name? PROMISE (growls) What did you do to Jezzy? Jezzy hides behind Buster. MYSTIC (laughing): Wouldn't YOU like to know, magic mutt! ROCKO (growls, taps comm badge) Rocko to security . . . MYSTIC (mocking): Rocko to security! Don't you morons know better than that? Promise snaps her fingers and Mystic is tied up in heavy rope. MYSTIC (stunned): What the.... (laughs): Do you really expect these mere ropes to contain me? (struggles): Er... I can escape anytime I want... (struggles more).... PROMISE (growls) What did you do to Jezzy? MYSTIC (upset): You drive a hard bargain, Promise. Very well, I will tell you. Jezzy and Lionheart were affected by a love potion. I just got rid of it. (giggles): Maybe you two are married and don't even realize it! JEZZY (stunned): WHAT?????? Heather enters the medical bay looking for Rocko. HEATHER (sternly): There you are! (screams): MYSTIC MCLAB!!!! Mystic suddenly frees herself from the ropes. MYSTIC (fruious): And now, my dear Promise, I'm going to turn you into a toad! HEATHER (growls) How dare you come back here Mystic! MYSTIC (laughs): Well well well, if it isn't Lt. Iron Pants! You are such a JOKE! (points at her): Here's a little surprise for you! As Mystic casts her spell, Heather is tackled to the ground from behind by Serge. Serge is hit with Mystic's spell. Serge's body shakes with the force of Mystic's lightning bolt MYSTIC (disappointed): AWWW!! I missed! Oh well, one down, MORE TO FOLLOW!! Promise growls and begins to glow. MYSTIC (laughs, sarcastic) Oh I am scared . . . Promise forms a magical whirlpool under Mystic MYSTIC (shouts): HEY! WHAT THE.... Mystic screams as the whirlpool sucks her into it and disappears Promise runs to Serge to scan him for injuries. HEATHER (frantic): Oh Serge, Serge! Why did you sacrifice yourself for me? (crying): I don't deserve it! PROMISE (stunned) There is nothing, not even a electric burn. HEATHER (still sobbing): Oh Serge, you really cared for me! If only you were alive (crying wildly): I love you! SERGE (eyes open wide): Really? You mean that? HEATHER (surprised) You're alive! SERGE (nods): Da! My body is totaly grounded! I am unharmed! HEATHER (stunned): YOU WHAT???? ROCKO (giggles) Serge has the hots for ya. HEATHER (upset): But he,.... he..... PROMISE (sternly): There was no way Serge could've known what spell Mystic was going to cast. He bravely saved you from Mystic's wrath HEATHER (sighs): He did, didn't he? (smiles): Cadet, is it true that you are in love with me? SERGE (grins) Da! Buster goes to Promise's desk which Jezzy is hiding under. BUSTER (calmly) She is gone, Jezzy. JEZZY (still shaking): Are you.... sure.... about that? BUSTER (nods) Promise sent her away. JEZZY (slowly gets up): She did? I thought Mystic was all powerful and stuff like that PROMISE (calmly) I don't even know where I sent her. ROKCO (excited): WHOA! YOU RULE, PROMISE!! Wait till Fetch finds out, he'll give ya a medal! Serge gets up off the floor. SERGE (nods) Da. I agree. FETCH (rushes in): What's going on here? Lt Carrill, report! HEATHER (stunned): Well, it's a rather long story, sir BUSTER (calmly) Mystic showed up and Promise sent her away, sir. FETCH (surprised): Promise? You defeated Mystic? PROMISE (nods) Yes, sir. She also tried to attack Heather but Serge saved her. FETCH (surprised): Serge? Are you alright? SERGE (nods) I'm fine, sir. FETCH (smiles): I look forward to reading your reports on this incident, carry on! As Fetch walks away, Serge and Heather look at each other. HEATHER (nervous): Well Cadet, I suppose we have to get back to work, don't we? SERGE (nervous nod): Yes....ma'am.... FETCH (turns around): Y'know Lt. Carill, since all of you have been through quite an ordeal here, why don't you all take the rest of your shifts off. There's sufficent crew to cover for all of you. Go and relax, unwind a bit... (winks): And that's a order! As the group celebrates, Heather and Serge look deeply into each other's eyes. Both are so nervous, they don't know what to do next. ROCKO (laughs): Just kiss and get it over with you two! Serge kisses Heather. HEATHER (stunned): You know I am your superior officer SERGE (nods): Da, but that does not bother me The scene shifts to the archives/astrometrics lab. Jezzy is being introduced to Cadet Sachiko (snow leopard felo-sapien) and given her first duty assignments. BUSTER (calm) Jezzy, this is Cadet Sachiko. You will be working with her starting tommorow. I work here as well. SACHIKO (smiles) Nice to meet you. JEZZY (nods): Nice to meet you also. This has been some first day for me. SACHIKO (giggles) There have a lot of exciting days here. JEZZY (concerned): Oh boy...... The scene goes to Fetch's ready room. He is reading over reports as his last log plays. FETCH (vocieover, recorded voice): Acting Captain's log, supplemental. Our unexpected jounrey in the Beta Quadrant has once again brought us many surprizes. First we get a young Space Rover dropped off on our ship, and then a visit from the villianous Mystic McLab. Commendations for bravery and valor for Cadets Serge amd Promise in defeating her. Our newest crew member, Jezzy, should prove to be a welcome addition, we need all the seasoned help we can get. Meanwhile, Lionheart was heading back to the alpha quad. LIONHEART (presses buttons): Perhaps I was a bit hasty. After all, that dog girl was somewhat cute Lionheart reads through some reports. He finds out that there is going to be a marrage on Graum between Mei-Li and Willis. LIONHEART (grins evilly): Well well well. --------------------------------------------------------
